Immediately after the Parade, we will all meet up at Old Settlers Park, under the Lakeview Pavilion. 

Prizes, Food, Goodie Bags, DJ, and Picnic spots for you to safely socialize. 

​*Calling all Underclassmen and your families! For every hour you volunteer with us (Project Graduation) you will earn a ticket to go into the door prize drawings at the May 15th Senior Year Celebration after the Parade.

It takes a village to raise the funds needed to support Project Graduation 2021. Our events are created to help us reach our fundraising goal for this years  PG2021 and your participation is key.  We hope to see you at the following events throughout the year and thank you for your generosity.           2021 Senior Strong Parade & Celebration at Old Settlers Park

Seniors--Class of 2021 it is time for YOUR senior parade!!! Come out and shine!  Let us celebrate your accomplishments on Saturday, May 15, 2021, 2:00pm.

**The parade will start at the parking lot at the Church of Latter Day Saints at the corner of A.W. Grimes and Tiger Trail.  The address for the church is 2400 N A.W. Grimes Blvd, Round Rock, TX 78665.  Once staged, the parade will exit right onto Tiger Trail and continue to the school.  The parade will drive through the school parking lot after entering the driveway closest to Tiger Field.   Please see the instructions below for the parade route and staging time

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     
 Parade Rules:  Follow Social Distancing Rules/Stay in Cars Please

**Spectators may park in the SPHS parking lot and the Hernandez Middle School lot--you must be parked before the parade begins at 2:00.  You may set up chairs along Tiger Trail and the driveway by Tiger Field to view the parade.

Parade Line Up:  Volunteers will be assisting with the staging/lineup of cars at the church parking lot.  Please follow instructions from our volunteers.
Reporting Times:  Staging will begin at 12:15 and we will line up cars alphabetically by last name.  Parade moves out at 2:00 PM.

To all Parade Participants:  Please see this parade line up with each alphabet group’s line up time.

  • Students with a last name beginning A-H arrive between 12:15 to 12:30 pm
  • Students with a last name beginning H-M arrive between 12:30-12:45 pm
  • Students with a last name beginning N-S arrive between 12:45-1:00 pm
  • Students with a last name beginning T-Z arrive between 1:00 and 1:15 pm
  • Salutatorian and Valedictorian arrive at 1:30 pm to be last in the processional



Whataburger Grand Prize:  Whataburger will be in the staging area in the parking lot to view your cars before the parade starts so be sure to arrive on time!  The best decorated car will win a Whataburger gift basket valued at over $350!  

Follow The Parade Leader:  The parade leader will pull out to begin the parade at 2:00 following the singing of the National Anthem.
Route:  Route will begin turning right out of the church and follow Tiger Trail toward the school.  

Student’s Name should be visible from the Front of the Vehicle:  There will be an announcer to call out student names as their car passes the announcer’s stand.  No stopping and please make sure the parade line stays close together.

Parade Guidelines:  RRISD police will be assisting with the parade route.  
Try not to lag too far behind the participant in front of you.  DO NOT THROW CANDY, GOODIES, ETC. TO THE PARADE WATCHERS.  You may be removed from the parade if caught doing so.  If you have any questions while lining up for the parade, please ask a parade volunteer.  There will be no smoking/vaping/drinking or bottles or cans carried during the parade.  There will be no animals in the parade unless inside the car/cab of your vehicle.  Animals may not be in the back of trucks or hanging out of windows for their safety.

**All trash must be removed from the parking lot before we can proceed in the parade--including decorations/etc.

​                                Outdoor Celebration at Old Settlers Park

The outdoor celebration will be at the Lakeview Pavilion at Old Settlers Park and will be held from 4 PM to 8 PM.

Parking

Parking is available in the main parking lot by the pavilion and playground.  Once the main parking is full, there are two overflow lots that may be used.  

Check-In

  • Upon arrival, seniors will check in and receive a wristband to show they are participating in the Project Graduation event.


  • After receiving the wristband, seniors will pick up an envelope with raffle tickets and food/drink tickets.  These will be handed out by student name and will be at two tables divided by alphabet. A-L will be located on the right side table and M-Z will be located on the left side table.



Food and Drinks

  • Seniors will receive one food ticket and one drink ticket to redeem for one meal item and one smoothie at the food trucks.  Seniors may choose either Happy Panini or Waffle Love for their meal.  
  • Friends and families may purchase their own food at any of the food trucks.
  • Water and soda will also be provided by Project Graduation



Music and Games

  • There will be a D.J. on site to play music for our event.
  • Free games will be set up to enjoy in the grassy area near the pavilion.



Raffle Items

  • Project Graduation is raffling off many items for our seniors
  • Be sure to keep your raffle tickets and listen for your number to be called
  • Items will be raffled off throughout the event
  • All seniors receive 5 raffle tickets for participating in the event and students who have volunteered at previous Project Graduation events will receive 1 additional raffle ticket for every hour of volunteering.



Important Guidelines

  • Seniors--this is your celebration!  Please enjoy it and this time with your classmates.
  • All park rules must be followed and seniors will remain in our assigned area at the pavilion and the grassy area near the pavilion.  Please do not go to the playground.
  • All trash must be placed in trash cans.  Please be respectful of the park and throw away any and all trash.
  • No leaving the event and returning.  Once you are at the event, you may stay until the end, but no coming and going will be allowed.
  • Project Graduation events are drug-free, alcohol-free and smoking/vaping free.
